Speed enforcement activity - Peterstow and Lea |
||
|
Yesterday, the Ross-on-Wye Safer Neighbourhood Team and Roads Policing Officers spent time in Peterstow and Lea carrying out speed checks and enforcement.
We know that speeding is something many residents worry about, so we wanted to reassure the community that we’re listening and taking action.
We’re pleased to say that most drivers were travelling safely and within the limit. Unfortunately, two vehicles were recorded driving above the speed limit, and the drivers will receive Notices of Intended Prosecution.
While we were out, several residents stopped to chat with us about local concerns and how they can play a part in keeping their roads safe. One really helpful way to support this is through Operation Snap, which allows people to submit digital footage of driving offences. You can find out more here:
We know that speeding continues to be a key issue for people across our community, and we’ll be carrying out further checks in the future. Thank you to everyone who took the time to speak with us — working together makes a real difference
